Arla and Bill Wright, coordinators for Hubbard County, live near Park Rapids where hey have both spent most of their lives. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Bill is a Stationary Engineer (boiler operator) and works at Bemidji State University. Arla is the Secretary and Treasurer at New Life Community Church, where they both serve in leadership, and on worship and prayer ministry teams.

Hubbard County is located in North Central Minnesota and Park Rapids is the County Seat. Founded in 1883, it is named after Minnesota's Governor at that time, Lucius Frederick Hubbard.

The county has a total area of 999 square miles. 77 square miles (7.70%) being water. Thousands of tourists come to Park Rapids every year to enjoy the area lakes and visit Itasca State Park. Itasca State Park, the source of the Mississippi River welcomes almost half a million visitors every year. Tourism is a primary industry.

The median income for a household in the county was $35,321, and the median income for a family was $41,177. 9.70% of the population and 7.50% of families were below the poverty line. 12.50% of those under the age of 18 and 9.30% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
