King Boreas reigns over the Winter Carnival. As the king of winds, Boreas assigns to each of his brothers a permanent grant of great force and power. To Titan was assigned the blustery north wind. To Euros was granted control of the irresponsible East Wind. To Zephyrus was given custody of the bountiful west wind. To Notos was presented the balmy but unstable south wind.

The brothers cavorted gaily over land and sea and Boreas, while on his extensive travels, came upon a winter paradise known as Minnesota. (Now this is a legend by the way.)

He paused to behold the enchanting beauty of a magnificent group of seven gently sloping hills in who’s embrace nestled a beautiful city. Boreas whistle in ecstasy, historic St. Paul and her seven hills. An ideal place, I will make St. Paul the capital of all my domains. It will henceforth be emblazoned to the world as the winter playground of the realms of Boreas.

Meanwhile, Vulcanus Rex, the god of fire, and the implacable enemy of Boreas, crackled in defiant disdain. By the great sword of Mars I will temper the blusterings of Boreas with the heat and roar of my forces. He ws tireless in his bitter resistance of all the festivities of Boreas. So he fights the festivities of Boreas.

For ten glorious days, they have a carnival. They have a Senior King and a Queen of the Northlands and their court contributes good will and wisdom.

On the tenth day of the celebration, Vulcanus Rex, and his Krewe stormed the magnificent ice castle and confront the King’s Guard. (And I believe, am I right there is an enactment of this. Yes, and I’ve never attended.)

Upon the good counsel of the Queen, Boreas, they crown someone king and queen of the Winter Carnival, they bade farewell to the people of his winter capital in the interest of peace and goodwill and return to dwell among the gods of Olympus. Boreas and his court looked forward to the time when summer’s warmth would again come.

Fire King Rex VI, in 1940, was the first Fire King to have a Krewe run with him and confront the Winter Carnival. During this Winter Carnival, they have a knighting ceremony. They have a royal chariot. A fire engine is used and this was built in Luverne, Minnesota, and is believed to be the only one of it’s type left.

The “Mark” The mark started in 1940. The mark was originally imparted on ladies of the realm as a sign of their willingness to demonstrate their allegiance to the Vulcans and to forsake forever Boreas and his followers. In more recent times, the mark has been extended to male members of the population in this manner; a Krewe member will draw a “V” on the cheek or forehead of the individual. To request the Vulcan Krewe to appear at your function in Minnesota, you can send your request to the council of the fire kings.

And am I right, the Vulcans come and they do their thing and then they go around and kiss the ladies. Something like that, I’ve heard.

I don’t want to go on and read and read. I really saw that this was something that was happening and we needed to…. We prayed at lunch. Cindy prayed powerfully to reverse the weather patterns and this rule and reign could have no rule over the weather patterns.

I’m going to ask Cindy Jacobs to address this.

Now this is exactly what I was explaining to you at the end of Katherine’s talk, exactly. Now the weather that’s coming in tonight is ice and it wasn’t expected. Dah. This is like a no brainer. Right? So let’s take authority over this weather pattern. Not only that, it’s Sophie’s 18^th birthday. I don’t know where she went. She wants to be able to have a nice birthday…..

The name of the thing is, what’ the name of it? King Boreas, the king of the winds. Do you remember part of the Word of the Lord, if you read it was, that this is the year of the winds. Isn’t it interesting all these gods in all this? Now think about it in a Biblical world view. Are you beginning to get your thinking a little straightened out? In years past, you probably would have thought, well that was just a fun little thing. Whatever, but it’s really not is it? It’s really not a good thing.

So, Father, in the name of Jesus, Father we bind principalities and powers. We take authority over Boreas, in Jesus name. We say, in the name of Jesus, we take authority over Titan, Zephyrus, Euros, Notos, in the name of Jesus and we say this is not the winter playground of the realm of Boreas. We say, in the name of Jesus, it is not given to Vulcanus Rex, in the name of Jesus, nor the sword of Mars. We declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We declare that the sword of the Lord, Hebrews 4:12, that divides asunder soul and spirit is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Even as the Hebrews sign for this year, was that sword coming down from heaven, Lord, we decree, Lord, that the creativity given to man to give glory to God through ice sculptures and things like this. That creative ability is not given to other gods. This is a God given ability of creativity and Lord we cut it off from the ice gods and the wind gods, in Jesus name.

Now, we are going to speak to this ice storm and command it to leave and dissipate. You ready. It’s supposed to come in at 6:00 tonight and we’ll see. I’m praying in faith. Okay, you ready?

Remember when Jesus was asleep in the boat and He said to them, why did you bother Me about this storm. You should have taken care of it. My paraphrase. He got up and spoke, Peace. Be Still. Alright?

So, in the name of Jesus, we speak peace. Be still into this ice storm. We command you to back off, in Jesus name. We speak to these weather patterns in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, You are the God of the wind and the waves and the ice. You are the God of creation and there is no other name under heaven and earth whereas any of these are to be controlled. So now, we put You in control. We know You’re positionally in control but we stand here on earth and we make a heavenly decree that You are the God of Minnesota. We make a heavenly decree in the name of Jesus. This is not Boreas’ winter playground. We decree it is not given to these spirits. We say, the sword of Mars is cancelled. And we decree the stronghold here in St. Paul, in the name of Jesus, afford these spirits are broken. Lord, and we ask, on the tenth day of this celebration, which would be when Vulcanus Rex and his Krewe storms the ice castle. Father, we don’t know what you’re going to do, but we ask You to intervene on the tenth day. We don’t know, intervene on the tenth day.

Now Father, we pray for the redemption of this ice festival because we know that you’re not a spoil sport. You want to bring joy into the hearts of the people. But intervene somehow, Lord. In the name of Jesus, and all the people said, Amen.
