The Hebraic Month of Shevat

Let the river flow in this new Hebraic month of Shevat! This new month began on January 27, International Holocaust Day and the next day, January 28, the long-awaited and historic Peace to Prosperity plan was unveiled in Washington D.C. Several days later on January 31, the United Kingdom officially came out of the European Union (Brexit). This happens to be the same day that Congress passed the 13thAmendment in 1865—abolishing slavery. God is speaking: LET MY PEOPLE GO! What a remarkable week! God is moving in unprecedented ways throughout the nations.
From now until February 24, we are in the month of Shevat, connected to water and rivers—and outpouring. And currently at Josiah Center, we are experiencing over two years of the River of Glory Outpouring meetings! The glory and river of God is rising on the earth, just like the Ezekiel 47 river!
Last month, Tevet, was an appointed time for justice and we certainly saw much of this take place on a national level in America. The floodgates of justice have opened and it’s flowing like a mighty river and ever-flowing stream of righteousness (Amos 5:24). It’s washing away the iniquity in our land and bringing cleansing and healing! As believers, we also have a never-ending stream within us of God’s Spirit, the rivers of living water (John 7:38). Allow these rivers to be unleashed from your spirit in fresh ways this month. Ask God to remove any blocks or “dams”. Let the river of His Spirit in you flow fully and freely!
Shevat is also a month for LIFE. Once again, Ezekiel 47 describes a river that flows from the throne of God. Wherever the river flows there is LIFE. In this “life” theme, the Lord showed me a connection between the 47thanniversary of Roe v. Wade connected to Ezekiel 47. The Supreme Court will be hearing oral arguments on March 4 (a date which has major significance in American history though most are unaware of this) in connection to abortion. This could be the tipping point of federally-funded abortion being overturned in our nation! Can you imagine what this will mean for babies, women, families and the healing of our nation? Can you ponder what this seismic turnaround will bring to this Third Great Awakening and harvest of souls that is happening in America? Let there be your LIFE and LIGHT, Jesus, in our land!
In a previous Word in Due Seasonfrom July 2019 (Tammuz), I actually brought forth revelation regarding Ezekiel 47 which ties into right now. Last year, I wrote: “What’s remarkable is that the Ezekiel 47 river is connected to the Dead Sea! Breaking Israel Newsstates: ‘It is also conceivable that an earthquake deep underneath the Dead Sea could open up hidden sources of subterranean freshwater, bringing about the Messianic prophecies that water will flow east from Jerusalem into the Dead Sea, and these bitter waters will fill up with fish and the surrounding desert will be teeming with life.
‘The currently arid and lifeless region was not always so. The Bible describes a very different picture of the region. Lot looked out on the valley where the Dead Sea is now and saw an incredibly fertile and well-watered region.’”
In that same Word in Due Seasonfrom Tammuz/July 2019, I wrote: “In anotherBreaking Israel Newsarticle [4] years ago (2016), they featured Samantha Siegel, an American born Jewish woman who made aliyah to Israel. She ‘stumbled upon a miraculous discovery: the existence of freshwater ponds on the shores of the Dead Sea filled with fish swimming through its waters. For Siegel, the evidence of living creatures meant more than just a shocking phenomenon; it meant the fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecy.’
“Ezekiel 47:8-9: “Then he said to me: ‘This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, itswaters are healed. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.’
“Samantha started out by explaining the important position of Israel in relation to the planet as compared to the human body: ‘When you look at the globe, Israel lies at the ‘belly’ of the world,’ she told Breaking Israel News. Within the Holy Land exists the lowest place on earth: the Dead Sea. Siegel drew a connection between the biblical body of water and a woman’s womb, saying, ‘just as the Dead Sea is the deepest spot within earth, so to the woman’s womb is the deepest point within her.’
“With the renewal of life in the Dead Sea, as evidenced by the teeming fish, there’s a strong message that the Jordan Valley will once again be as ‘God’s garden’; it will return to the status it once had prior to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah that transformed the beautiful valley into a wasteland,’” she said.
This statement is a profound picture of what God is doing right now to bring LIFE back into the WOMB in America! To bring what is dead to life. To RESTORE to ORIGINAL INTENT. I often weave together prophetic words with the discoveries made in the land of Israel because what happens in Israel is a “first fruit” of what God is doing world-wide, including America and our very own lives and families. These discoveries speak a similar message: God is bringing forth physical restoration and spiritual restoration! He is unlocking the treasures in the land and in His people. He is bringing forth LIFE even from dead places, because He is the Author of LIFE and the GOD of MIRACLES!
WATCH what God does in this Hebraic year of 5780 (2020) to bring about a turnaround for LIFE in America! Pray into this!
Shevat is also connected to the tribe of Asher. Asher means “happiness, pleasure”. Jesus did his first miracle of turning water into wine andrevealed Himself as the bread of life in the territory of the tribe of Asher.
Bread is a picture of the Word of God
Wine is a picture of the Spirit of God
In this month of Shevat, God is emphasizing the importance of the WORD and SPIRIT synchronized togetherand flowing fully in us and through us. Both are essential and they are a hallmark of this new move of God. It’s not only the Word or only the Spirit—it’s the fullness of the Word AND the Spirit! They are one. John 4:24 says, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
The bread and the wine, of course, symbolize communion and our union with Christ because of His death and resurrection. The first mention of communion is in Genesis 14:18 when Abram partook of bread and wine with Melchizedek, a king and a priest. And, as a worshipful response, he tithed a tenth of all he had. As believers, we are now a part of this eternal “Order of Melchizedek” (Hebrews 7). This is a key month to partake of the fullness of communion, as kings and priests (Rev. 1:6) who are a part of this eternal order.
This Hebraic year, 5780, is connected to the number 10, so this also shows another underscoring of the importance of our tithe (10th) for this year. May the joy of giving our King our best, being a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7), be unlocked from our spirit man in this month and year!
What is additionally remarkable is that an archeologist in July last year (2019) believes that a stone pillar he discovered in the City of David/Jerusalem is the altar of Melchizedek! Dating back 4,000 years! If this is accurate, this discovery is utterly foundational to our Christian faith. This is something to pay attention to and hear what the Spirit of God is saying through this discovery—and the timing of it.
Regarding the tribe of Asher, the symbol on their standard (banner) was a large, fruitful olive tree. The olive tree represents Israel. It’s always important for us to pray for Israel and to bless the Jewish people and Israel (Genesis 12:3) but this is a key month to pray for God’s covenant people and land, especially amidst the unveiling of the peace plan that took place at the beginning of Shevat.
Olive trees produce oil--the oil of joy! It’s a time for joy. Joel 2:24 says, “The threshing floors shall be full of grain; the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.” In this passage we see all three elements of this month of Shevat/Asher: grain, new wine and oil. A fullness of God’s blessings.
This month is also a time for theJoel 2 Bridal army to mobilize in a greater way and arise. It’s a time for you to find your position in God’s army! This army of God moves in holy synchronicity and “marches straight ahead” as they destroy the enemy’s works! Recall that Minnesota has been prophesied to be the Threshing Floor of the nation—as well as the Altar of the nation! This is a major God-given destiny!
The blessing over Asher is that his “feet were dipped in oil”. This represents wealth. God has promised us covenant wealth in Deuteronomy 8:18and this is about receiving wealth “in order to establish the covenant”. This is the key to remember. Watch this month how the justice of God will release covenant wealth! This is very connected to the fullness of the harvest of soulsbeing brought in! Apostle Faisal Malick states that “wealth precedes habitational glory”! Because our King is deserving of the best! We want the HABITATIONof God’s presence and glory not just visitation!
Shevat is connected to the letter “tzadik” which means “righteous one”. This is a crucial time to be further established in God’s righteousness, especially as forerunners preparing the way for the Lord. Proverbs 14:34 TPT says: “A nation is exalted by the righteousness of its people,
but sin heaps disgrace upon the land.” What a key Scripture for our nation right now.
We must never forget that we are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Righteousness goes hand-in-hand with justice in the Word of God, and we are seeing, and about to see even more, unprecedented levels of exposure and justice in the United States (and the nations). A manifestation of God’s righteousness is His justice, and so it is with us. If we walk in intimacy with Him, we walk in righteousness and we release His justice. God’s justice and judgment are like a two-sided coin. From His love, He releases both judgment and justice.
Awakening is a central theme for Shevat, as it’s the time in Israel when springtime comes. Shevat is associated with trees and the New Year of Trees, called Tu B’Shevat, falls in this month on February 9. The first tree to awaken in Israel is the almond tree and the word for almond means “watch, awaken”. As watchman on the wall, we need to be awake in this vital hour of history!
The almond tree is also connected to Aaron’s rod of authority. This month is a key time to awaken to who you are in Christ. It’s a time to exercise the authority that Jesus Christ as given to youas His son or daughter. Know who you are and whose you are.
Minnesota has been prophesied by Cindy Jacobs tohold the almond rod of authority and to be thestate that AWAKENS the rest of the nation! A state called to bring forth reformation in the United States! I call forth these words over Minnesota to manifest now! God has deeply been highlighting to me recently the dimension of reformation that He is bringing about in this hour of history. We crossed into a new era on the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017 and I call forth reformation in our nation in the name of Jesus! This is connected to the overarching reality of HARVEST and societal transformation that God is catalyzing in our nation and the nations!
I bless you with fullness of blessing and the oil of joy in this month of Shevat. I bless you with the abundant life that Yeshua has given to you to completely manifest. I bless you to come into alignment and agreement with what God is saying and doing in this month of Shevat as His king and priest! I bless you as one who carries and releases God’s justice and righteousness. I bless you to fully awaken and to go forth as a kingdom reformer to awaken others! I bless your faith arising and the rivers of living water within you to flow in fullness for the glory of Father God!
