Prophetic Word for the Hebraic Month of Iyar

Prophetic Word for the
Hebraic Month of Iyar

by Lori Perz

Welcome to the month of Iyar. This is the second month in the Hebraic calendar. The letters that spell Iyar form an acrostic that means: “I am the Lord your Healer.” Every month is a good month for healing from our Healer to manifest, but God is underlining healing this month. No matter your situation or condition, let your faith arise and come into agreement with what God says about being YOUR Healer. His promises are YES and AMEN in Christ Jesus!

Allow the healing waters, the river of living waters, of God’s Spirit in you to flow and release LIFE and HEALING, just like the Ezekiel 47 river.Declare that every blockage be removed! We received a powerful word at Josiah Center recently from pastors from Zambia. They declared that the waters that have been held back, especially regarding the outpouring of God’s Spirit, are being loosed and the DAM HAS BROKEN!

In February, I released a word that I believe God is highlighting in this month of Iyar: “God is unlocking the ancient fountains of the deep to cleanse the FOUNDATION STONES.” The river of LIFE that flows from the throne of God with the tree of LIFE in Revelation 22:2 is being released from our spirit man in a greater way! This is bringing cleansing to the FOUNDATION STONE within and among us as He, the Chief CORNERSTONE, fits us together as LIVING STONES to be built into a spiritual house as a living priesthood (1 Peter 2:4-6).

Recently, a national prophet released a word regarding “90” and “120.” This connected to the 90 days that are between the historic, prophetic blood moon that took place on January 21 and Resurrection Sunday on April 21. As I prayed into this, I then heard the Lord tell me to add 30 days to this—to get 120 days. That takes us to May 21.

Incredibly, I discovered that May 21 of this year is Iyar 17. This is the very daymentioned in Genesis 7:11: “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in thesecond month, the seventeenth day of the month [Iyar 17], on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” Do you see a connection with the word from February as well? It’s also interesting to note the other “120” in the Noah account in which God said: “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years” (Genesis 6:3).

As I prayed into this more, I sensed God connecting this account in Noah to our time. Prayerfully consider how God is bringing an unlocking of the deep and an opening of the floodgates in the spirit and in the earth realm as well. What happens in the spirit manifests in the earth and land/sea. Consider also Matthew 24:37-39: “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

As in the days of Noah, there is judgment for those who are against God and not willing to repent—and justice for those who are in covenant with God and following Him. Remember that both judgment and justice come from the LOVE of God, who IS Love. The cup is full right now and we are seeing both of these pouring out. It is a serious time—and it is a time of great rejoicing as we watch God’s presence and glory manifesting in greater and greater ways. This is just the beginning. The HARVEST of the nations is HERE. And we are being SENT OUT as laborers into the harvest (Matthew 9:38).

Noah and his family (8 means “new beginnings”) came across the threshold of the ark and through the door into safety in the midst of a global storm. God made covenant with them (Genesis 6:18). This reminds me of the threshold covenant of Passover that I mentioned in our last “Word in Due Season.” The ark of the covenant, God’s presence, now dwells in us as New Covenant believers. And, Yeshua is also our Ark of Safety. This promise from Scripture pictures this twin reality beautifully: “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So, we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him” (1 John 4:15-16).

Meditate on the next verse as well: “By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love” (1 John 4:17).

The enemy is losing his grip and he’s desperately trying to globally (and personally) stir up fear and terror right now. It’s clear when we look at what is taking place in America and the nations, including the recent Hamas attacks against Israel this weekend. There are many demonic storms taking place and a global “storm of storms” that is brewing and encroaching. It is definitely a “high alert” season. We need to be aware of what the enemy is doing, but keep our eyes riveted on our Father God and anchored in His love!

“So, Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.’” (John 5:19). Remember, there is NO FEAR IN LOVE. It’s a time for us to come into the secret place, into Yeshua the Ark of Safety, in deeper ways and KNOW and experience His love. It’s also a time for us to boldly arise in our identity and delegated authority as the BRIDE of Christ! “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1-2).

Though there is darkness on the earth and thick darkness on the peoples—storms brewing like Noah’s days—be encouraged that GODHimself is the STORM! I awoke in the middle of the night a few weeks ago and turned my Bible directly to 2 Samuel 22. This entire chapter is about GOD as the STORM—and the one who delivered David from ALL of his enemies, including Saul. It’s actually a SONG of PRAISE. Insert your name in this chapter and personalize the promises for David for you right now—and see God as the STORM coming to bring great deliverance to you and your family and beyond.

2 Samuel 22:14-18:
“He bowed the heavens also, and came down; with darkness under His feet. He rode upon a cherub, and flew; and He was seen upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness canopies around Him, dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. From the brightness before Him coals of fire were kindled. The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered His voice. He sent out arrows and scattered them; lightning bolts, and He vanquished them.” This is OUR GOD!

The name Noah means “rest.” And, the ark came to REST on the top of Mt. Ararat (Genesis 8:4) after the waters flooded the earth for 150 days (Genesis 7:24). When we look at the calendar this year, 150 days from May 21 is October 21—during the Feast of Tabernacles! This is the Feast of REST and GLORYIncredible. God is speaking about REST to us right now!

The Lord is our Rest and it’s imperative that we continue to grow in trusting and resting in Him and have a heart at rest, especially amidst the personal and national and global storms we face. Sabbath rest is a key, too. This is not a legalistic requirement but a gift that God has given to us. God made the Sabbath as a gift for us (Mark 2:27-28) that He knew we would need. Receive your gift from the Lord!

This month of Iyar is also associated with the Hebrew letter VAV. This is pictured as a connection point from heaven to earth. This is who we are as “gates” between heaven and earth (Psalm 24). It’s a key month to manifest the reality that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus and to release that in the earth realm!

Finally, Iyar is connected to the tribe of Issachar: “Of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do” (1 Chronicles 12:32a). It is a crucial hour for us to know “what time it is” and what we ought to do—and to do it in faith and obedience out of our love for God.

Issachar’s blessing is found in Genesis 49:14-15: “Issachar is a strong donkey, crouching between the sheepfolds.” It also says that “he bowed his shoulder to bear.” God highlighted to me that in the celestial sky, there is a “Greater Sheepfold” and “Lesser Sheepfold” constellation, which can picture Jew and Gentile. It’s remarkable that Issachar is crouched between them like a bridge. I believe God is speaking about a “one new man” mantle that is upon this tribe. Also, “bowing his shoulder to bear” pictures the godly “burden-bearing” of intercession. Donkeys are a “beast of burden.”

I sense God speaking about this Issachar mantle as sons and daughters who know what time it is and are a bridge between Jew and Gentile, “one new man,” even as this bridge is being deeply strengthened in this hour for God’s purposes and glory pertaining to global harvest. As we take up the “burden” of the Lord in intercession and pray it to breakthrough, we will see God’s glory manifest in new ways—and in His timing!

I bless you with the fullness of what God wants you to receive, especially in rest, and release in this month of Iyar! He is the Lord your REST and your HEALER!
