Hebraic Month of Tishri by Lori Perz

The Hebraic Month of Tishrei

by Lori Perz

Welcome to the 7th Hebraic month: Tishrei (through Oct. 29).  The number “7” in the Bible is connected to covenant.  Ponder the many 7’s in th

e Bible: 7 days of creation, 7 feasts, 7 branches on the menorah, 7 spirits of God and many more.  The number“7” means “spiritual perfection” and “fullness”.

Colossians 2 (TPT) paints a powerful picture of this and it begins in verse 4:  “For our spiritual wealth is in him, like hidden treasure waiting to be discovered—heaven’s wisdom and endless riches of revelation knowledge.”  A few verses later, we read:  “For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. 10 And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. He is the Head[g] of every kingdom and authority in the universe! Through our union with him we have experienced circumcision of heart. All of the guilt and power of sin[h] has been cut away and is now extinct because of what Christ, the Anointed One, has accomplished for us.”

In this one passage, can you see the reality of our FULLNESS in Christ illuminated?  We are COMPLETELY filled with God as Christ’s FULLNESS overflows in us.  And all of the guilt and power of sin has been cut away and is NOW EXTINCT.  That’s the “7”, the spiritual perfection and fullnessthat we have in our Savior, Yeshua…because of our COVENANT we are in with Him by His body and shed blood.

Tishrei is connected to the Hebrew letter LAMED.  The Hebrew letter looks like a shepherd’s staff.  So, this is a month for us to wholeheartedly follow Yeshua as our Shepherd according to the promises of Psalm 23 and for God to breathe fresh wind into pastoral ministry.  In addition, this new Hebraic year of 5780 we just entered is connected to the number “10” which is connected to the office of pastor.  It’s a key time for the shepherds of God and for God’s people to receive from them (and bless them!) in greater ways.  Think of a creative way you can honor and encourage those who pastor you.

Lamed also means “to goad” and that speaks of inciting to action.  It’s a time for FAITH in ACTION (James 2:17). This Hebrew letter comes from the root word “lamad”:  “to teach and learn”.  It’s also considered the heart of the Hebrew alphabet.  So, we can see a picture of our heart seeking to be taught by the Lordand to learn from Him.  “The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught” (Isaiah 50:4).  May we have hearts that yearn to know HIM and His heart and mind most of all.

Tishrei is also the month of the 3 Biblical fall feasts:  Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets; Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement and Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles.  The time between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur is called the 10 Days of Awe. Essentially, this is likened to Daniel 7 when the “court was seated and the books were opened”.  It’s a key time of seeking justice in God’s Courts of Heaven for our families, city and nation.

Yom Teruah also falls on the Head of the Year (civil year) called Rosh Hashanah.  In last month’s Word in Due Season, I shared some of the revelation on this new Hebraic year of 5780.  To summarize, we crossed the threshold (on the evening of Sept. 29) into not only a new year but a new decade and a new KINGDOM ERA. We have been prophesying this shift into a new era for several years, particularly since the 500th anniversary of the Reformation on Oct. 31, 2017.  We saw a marked shift take place in the spirit that evening–a true demarcation in time.  This new Hebraic year and decade will be deeply catalyzing to this new ERA of REFORMATION!

Many of you know that the “tag line” for the River of Glory Outpouring meetings is: REVIVAL, REVOLUTION, REFORMATION.  See the progression in this.  God re-vives (brings back to life) those in the Church (and all of us need reviving!). Then, there is a spiritualrevolution that takes place in which the “government” of the enemy is uprooted and replaced with the “government” of God–that is His kingdom (Rev. 11:15).  This establishment of the kingdom of God brings about lasting SOCIETAL, CULTURAL CHANGE. That is REFORMATION.  And I believe that because of this, reformation is very much tied into HABITATION–not just a VISITIATON of GOD that comes and goes, but the Presence of God resting upon a society, a city, and a nation. HABITATIONAL GLORY!

WATCH for what God is going to do on this REFORMATION DAY, Oct. 31, 2019!

Apostle Faisal Malick states that “wealth precedes habitational glory”.  A king is deserving of this!  The King is here but the King is coming in a new way, the Bridegroom for His Bride, and this glory procession will include the wealth of the nations.  Isaiah 60:1 calls us to: “Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glorynow streams from YOU!”  A few verses later we read: “Then you will understand and be radiant. Your heart will be thrilled and swell with joy. The fullness of the sea will flow to youandthe wealthof the nations will be transferred to you! (v. 5).

Wealth, of course, is more than money but the point is that this is a display of the King’s domain–it all belongs to Him.  This is part of the return of the KING!  It’s also for the HARVEST of NATIONS that is here!

In connection with this, God has been speaking to me aboutcovenant wealth and the economy related to Yom Kippur (Oct. 9).  This is called the Day of Atonement, when the high priest would come into the holy of holies to make atonement for the sins of the nation.  This is, of course, precisely what Yeshua did on the Cross when He atoned for our sins.  During a year of jubilee, every 50 years, the trumpet would be sounded on the Day of Atonement.  This sound would signal the release of slaves, debt cancellation and everything returning to its original owner.  This is FREEDOM!

Although it’s not technically a year of jubilee, the Lord has been speaking to me about jubilee being an “eternal” reality.  Jesus IS our Jubilee!  So, we can, by faith, access the eternal dimension of jubilee and pull it into our NOW. This is precisely what King David did when he pulled a New Covenant reality of the Tabernacle of David into his Old Covenant world.  God is speaking JUBILEE for THIS Day of Atonement! The jubilee trumpet sounding declaring a return to original intent! And, I hear Him connecting much of this even to our economy, which is coming out of the captivity it has been in and being released into the fullness of what God has for it.  Once again, for the harvest of nations that is here!

The other piece about Yom Kippur connects to Moses.  In Exodus 34, we read the account of Moses ascending Mt. Sinai a second time.  Essentially, the covenant is renewed. “And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you” (Exodus 34:10).  After fasting 40 days and nights, Moses descends the mountain:“Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him. So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.”

This day that Moses descended the mountain was Yom Kippur!  God has been speaking to me for several years about His glory LIGHT coming OUT of His sons and daughters in a new way!  It’s like a fresh Mount of Transfiguration.  I spoke of this in last month’s Word in Due Season and I’m echoing this again because of the connection to Yom Kippur.

WATCH for ways that God’s glory to RADIATE out of us, His children of LIGHT, in new ways on this Yom Kippur (Oct. 9).  To display the splendor of the KING!

The next feast following Yom Kippur is theFeast of Tabernacles (begins evening of Oct. 13-20).  You could call it the Feast of Habitation.  The Israelites were commanded to set up booths or tents for 7 days to remind them of their days in the wilderness.  This feast is the Feast of GLORY and the Feast of REST.  It’s a time of JOY.  This feast is a picture of where God is taking us into as the Bride right now.  And how remarkable that the 7 days of the Feast of Tabernacles are a mirror of the 7-day wedding feast.

In my Word in Due Season for the month of Iyar (April/May), I shared a prophetic word in connection to Noah.  God has been speaking to me in the account of Noah for months.  There is much to glean for us as a Noah company in this hour–set apart to be righteous amidst so much evil.  We are building God’s kingdom, in the spirit and in the natural, even among those who have no grid for who we are and what we’re doing. “Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit” (I Cor. 2:14).

Here is a portion of my word from April/May: “May 22 of this year was Iyar 17. This is the very daymentioned in Genesis 7:11: “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in thesecond month, the seventeenth day of the month [Iyar 17], on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”…As I prayed into this more, I sensed God connecting this account in Noah to our time.  Prayerfully consider how God is bringing an unlocking of the deep and an opening of the floodgates in the spirit and in the earth realm as well. What happens in the spirit manifests in the earth and land/sea.

Consider also Matthew 24:37-39: “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

As in the days of Noah, there is judgmentfor those who are against God and not willing to repent–and justicefor those who are in covenant with God and following Him.  Remember that both judgment and justice come from the LOVE of God, who IS Love. The cup is full right now and we are seeing both of these pouring out.  It is a serious time–and it is a time of great rejoicing as we watch God’s presence and glory manifesting in greater and greater ways.  This is just the beginning.  The HARVEST of the nations is HERE.  And we are being SENT OUT as laborers into the harvest (Matthew 9:38).

Noah and his family (8 means “new beginnings”) came across the threshold of the ark and through the door into safety in the midst of a global storm. The nameNoah means “rest”.  And theark came to REST on the top of Mt. Ararat (Genesis 8:4) after the waters flooded the earth for 150 days (Genesis 7:24).  Therefore, 150 days from May 22/Iyar 17 of this year is Oct. 19.  During the Feast of Tabernacles!

WATCH the Feast of Tabernacles for new dimensions of God’s REST and GLORY and JOY to be released!  Even in connection to the national movement called Awaken the Dawn (Oct. 17-19)!  Josiah Center will be hosting a tent so check out our Website for more information!

The Lord is our Rest and it’s imperative that wecontinue to grow in trusting and resting in Him and have a heart at rest, especially amidst the personal and national and global storms we face. Sabbath rest is a key, too.  This is not a legalistic requirement but a gift that God has given to us.  God made the Sabbath as a gift for us (Mark 2:27-28) that He knew we would need. Receive your gift from the Lord!

I bless you with covenantalhealth, wealth and protection in this month of “7”, of spiritual perfection and fullness. I bless you with the fullness of JUBILEE and 7-fold justice for you and your family!  I bless you as the dwelling place of God being a holy habitation for Him and seeing His glory manifest in a corporate habitational way during this set apart month of the 3 fall feasts!  May you feast on Yeshua and His Word!  I bless you fully entering into God’s REST and GLORY and JOY!  I bless you with the completion of the Daniel 7:22 Turnaround Verdict in these 10 Days of Awe—fully possessing your inheritance as a son or daughter of God!
